So I got to be part of painting a mural in Sunnyside! This is the first of several that I am going to be involved with. We are getting kids from around Sunnyside to come up with mural designs and then, we... my roommate, myself and an organization called Sunnyside's Promise, have been facilitating and helping with the painting of the mural! This is soo fun! and this is why I moved to a community like Sunnyside! So much to do!
This was actually designed by two of my former students! Bless my soul it is fun seeing them grow up! I'm so excited that after three years of teaching I am finally beginning to experience this side of my career. Once again... I am soo happy I decided to become a teacher, and thank goodness I didn't get distracted first by something dumb, like a boy. hee hee
