I've been pretty pleased with some of the work this semester. Especially the text portraits. Freakin' Awesome. Not bad for 13 year olds. (especially because all of these kiddos are new to drawing) And yeah, I'm taking some credit for these! These are just a few of them.
What I love about these drawings is how strongly their personalities come through in these. Plus they look so urban and edgy... I think. These kiddos aren't like... prodigies.... they just put in 100% effort. A few of them didn't even do the assignment correctly but their drawings are still fabulous and rich, just because they gave it their best. Ahhh, and some of the artists statements where talked bout the text they put into their drawings, wow!
