Maryhill

On the way home from the west side we stopped by Maryhill Museum.  We really like that part of the state because of the history and the roads, and the Maryhill makes it all the more fascinating because it is so easy to learn about the history.
I always have to stop by the Theater de Mode.  I can't get enough of those elegant, creepy captivating little dolls. Now you can take a pic of yourself as a doll!  This is what a Corey doll would have looked like.  Paris probably would have been delirious with fashion ecstasy.

This is a Julie doll. Now when people say "Oh, that Julie is such a doll",  they can mean it literally as well as figuratively.
If you don't know what I'm talking about and are curious, you can try these out:

The temporary exhibit was also very good.  A series of paintings by R.H. Ives Gammell,  interpreting a religious poem, The Hounds of Heaven.  It involved a lot of reading but was fascinating.
Just us goofing off.

Then we drove home on the back roads looking for new bike routes.  This road would have been ideal if it weren't so rough.  It was good for an excellent view though.
We follwed a road on the south end of Goldendale, it took us East and after about 15 miles, we went up over the hills and were looking down on the Columbia River.

The End
