I got to spend President's Day weekend at the beach in cozy cabin with Sarah's family. The deals are a family of first class people, I learn more from them all the time! they have enriched my life so much! It is so nice spending time with them.
Anyway, I was rather lazy about taking pictures and just lazy in general, which, was the point. So I only have a few pics.
I think it is amazing how the ocean is relaxing and lovely, no matter the whether. We had two rainy and two sunny days and all four were great. I had a few conversations pondering "what makes the ocean so wonderful?" But I don't know that we funny uncovered the mystery.

Went on a hike up Saddle Mountain. At the top you're supposed to be able to see all the way to Astoria, but there was no seeing anything, the clouds had enveloped the coast and were pouring out their wrath upon us! It was o much fun!

Me at the Top. I'm really wet and no Astoria. Thank goodness it was a short hike. By the way, the next day was beautiful and I got to do another run/hike in the hills along the coast, and that was lovely, my favorite part was spending the last mile walking through the sand and surf bare foot in February. With the sun turing the whole sky gold and the waves silver! Somebody up there must love me!
